getting Communication error # 0404 fax connects

you may need to connect an ADSL filter between the wall jack and your fax machine.




If you have static on your phone line you may need to turn error correction off on the machine:



Follow these steps to turn off the V.34 and ECM setting:


Press the Home button.
Press left to select Setup.
Press OK.
Press left to select Fax Settings, then press OK.
Press up or down to select Communication, then press OK.
Select ECM, then set it to Off.
Select V.34, then set it to Off.


Try sending/receiving a fax now.
